99408Mr. Ronald Vercellone is the Associate Principal of the Construction Technology Academy. He brings comprehensive experience working with and encouraging young people to this role.  Ron was an English teacher at Essex Agricultural & Technical High School, where he worked within the Environmental Science program—Merrimack River Expedition for four of his five years teaching. He began his administrative career as Essex Aggie’s Director of Community Relations, a position he held for four years, before assuming the role of Associate Principal, a position he held for three years. Ron continues to manage the Essex Technical High School Challenge/Ropes Course, and has for six years, since its beginning at Essex Aggie, and he is the Director for Summer Programming for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department Youth Leadership Academy.

Mr. Vercellone holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Salem State College, Salem, MA, and is currently working to complete his Master’s Degree requirements in Educational Leadership at Salem State University and Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA. He holds a professional teaching license in English (9-12), a Supervisor/Director license and a Vocational Principal/Assistant Principal license. In addition, he is a Wilderness First Responder and a Level 2 Challenge Course Practitioner (ACCT Certificate). He is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA), ASCD, (formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Design), and the Association of Challenge Course Technicians (ACCT).
